What is Feel Good, Shop Local?

A:  Feelgoodshoplocal.com is a new e-commerce marketplace with 1 goal – to make it easy to buy (and sell) locally. The inaugural version of the site is focused on western Massachusetts; specifically Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, Berkshire counties, and northern Connecticut. It is a win-win. Local businesses win because they broaden their reach, capturing customers previously unknown. Local consumers win because they have a fun and convenient way to shop hyper-local – they discover their local community and become the most enviable gift-givers. 

How does it work?

A: Local Businesses (eCommerce-only and brick-and-mortar stores welcome!) will have their own storefront with a unique URL on the site. We will highlight your business, sharing info about the owners and their reason for being, store events, and sales. Orders get facilitated through the site and come directly to stores for fulfillment. Shoppers choose from in-store pickup or 1-5 day shipping.

How are businesses chosen?

A: Businesses are found through referrals or research, noted for their reviews – quality products, customer focus, and mission. Apply here or recommend a store here. ((Add hyperlinks))

How much will this cost?

A:  We currently charge a one-time-only onboarding fee and a minimal % commission on products sold for participating sellers.  A low monthly subscription fee is charged to cover our expenses, which include marketing, transaction fees, packing materials, photography, videography, customer service/onboarding support, events, and access to business best practices to take your business to the next level. We aim to keep costs low in order to best serve our local small businesses.

A:  Contact us!  Fill out this form or email discover@feelgoodshoplocal.com and we will be happy to discuss the onboarding process.

This might change if we decide to use the Vendor Registration and Vendor Membership options built into the system. Then we would send them to the My Account page to Register and click on Become a Vendor. This would start the process.
